My my My my

Bedford Little League Families,

Welcome to the 2021 Little League Baseball Season!  We are very excited to be able to offer a full season that will include all age groups this year.  With the start of the season quickly approaching, we thought it prudent to review the state's Return-to-Play COVID guidelines, of which BLL will be adhering to.  If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.

  • All players will be responsible for providing their own equipment which includes a baseball glove, helmet, and bat.  If you are unable to provide the necessary equipment, please email your manager and the league will provide the necessary equipment.
  • Players on the field will not be required to wear a mask.
  • Players will be required to wear masks at all times when not on the field and will be required to observe 6ft in social distance.  Dugouts will have a two-player capacity at all times.  If a team is up to bat, the players will have a designated area outside the dugout to sit or stand adhering to social distancing requirements.  We realize this is going to be difficult with the younger age groups and we ask that everyone remain patient and do the best you can.
  • Coaches will be required to wear masks at all times, even when coaching bases.
  • ALL players will be required to bring their own hand sanitizer to use through the course of practice and games.
  • Parents will be responsible for taking their players temperature prior to coming to practice or games.  If they register a temperature 100.4 or higher, they must stay home.
  • If a player is exposed to COVID, or test positive for COVID, their parents will need to report their exposure or positive test to the league President and Secretary for tracking and tracing purposes.
    • &
  • If a player enters COVID quarantine, they will have to receive a return to play confirmation email from the President or Secretary prior to rejoining their team.

The board realizes some of these rules are cumbersome, but if we remain diligent, and do our best to implement these guidelines, we should have a successful year.  Thank you for your cooperation and PLAY BALL!

Best Regards,

Andrew McDonald, President
